What each costs to run

We do not list figures here; plans change, so check each official page.

  • Webflow: Basic and Premium site plans, separate Ecommerce plans [5], a Localize add on [6] and paid Workspace plans. Team and Enterprise plans are sales led [1].
  • WordPress: the software is open source [4]. Self hosting means paying for hosting yourself; hosted plans are listed on WordPress.com [3].

Our view

We do not run WordPress estates. If you have a large WordPress site that works and needs ongoing plugin and server care, a WordPress specialist will serve you better than we will. If you only need a theme set up, we are more than you need. Clients own everything once it's paid for.

What we have built

  • Orthotropic (orthotropicbd.com): We designed and built the Orthotropic website in Webflow.
  • Tint (tint-store.vercel.app): Premium menswear essentials, from tees to outerwear. Built by Gr8r for its own portfolio. Not client work.

Moving between them

Moving from WordPress to Webflow means mapping posts and categories into CMS collections within Premium's limits 1]. Every changed URL needs a redirect. See [website migrations.

Questions

Is Webflow better than WordPress?

It depends on who runs the site. Webflow is one hosted visual tool with fixed CMS limits, so editors and designers work in one place. WordPress is open source and very extendable, and you carry hosting and upkeep. Pick Webflow for one hosted tool; pick WordPress to host and extend it yourself.

Can Webflow handle a big blog?

Up to a point. Webflow Premium holds 40 collections and 20,000 items. Beyond that, check the sales led plans, or keep the blog on a platform without those limits. WordPress has no fixed item cap; your host and database set the limit, and you maintain them yourself.

Which is better for ecommerce?

Webflow sells ecommerce as separate plans, from 500 to 15,000 items, per its pricing page. WordPress can run a store through plugins on your own hosting. Pick by catalogue size, who will run the store each day, and how much hosting and upkeep you want to own.

Is Webflow or WordPress better for SEO?

Both can rank well. Webflow sites come with hosting, free SSL and standards based code, and Localize adds localized SEO. WordPress gives full control through themes and plugins, if someone keeps them updated. Content quality, site structure and clean redirects matter more than the platform.

Can I move from WordPress to Webflow without losing rankings?

Usually, with a plan. Map every old URL to its new one, add a 301 redirect for each one that changes, carry over titles and metas, and watch Search Console after launch. Check that your content fits Webflow's CMS limits before you start moving posts across.

Which needs less upkeep?

Webflow, for most teams. It hosts the site on a Cloudflare network and handles platform updates, so your team edits content. A self hosted WordPress site needs someone to keep WordPress, PHP, the database and plugins up to date. Hosted WordPress plans take on part of that work.
