## Why agentic UX matters

When software acts on its own, the old click-and-response model breaks down. People need to trust work they did not do step by step. Without clear design, they either over-trust the agent or stop using it.

## How agentic UX works

Good agentic interfaces show the plan before acting, progress while working and evidence when done. They make approval points obvious and keep an activity log people can review.

They also design for the four AI states: processing, confident, unsure and failed.

## Common agentic UX mistakes

Hiding what the agent did. Asking for approval so often that people click through without reading. Offering no undo.

Treating the agent as a chat window when the task needs a structured view, like a table of changes to review.

## How Gr8r approaches agentic UX

We map who decides what before we design screens. Then we prototype the review, approval and recovery states early and test them with the people who will use them.

Example

An agent that reconciles invoices shows a table of proposed matches, highlights the three it is unsure about, and lets the finance lead approve the rest in one step.

- Is agentic UX just chat design?
No. Chat is one pattern. Many agent tasks are better served by review tables, step lists, approval queues and activity logs.
- How do you stop users over-trusting an agent?
Show confidence in plain language, highlight uncertain parts, show sources, and require approval for actions that are hard to reverse.
